It’s awards season, and Hollywood is buzzing with excitement! After the Golden Globes last week and the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday, the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards 2024 are kicking off at LA’s Peacock Theater, marking the third major red carpet event in just eight days.
Celebrities are seizing another opportunity to flaunt their best evening wear. While this year’s red carpet style has been somewhat restrained so far, standout stars from the small screen, including Emmy nominees like Bella Ramsey, Rachel Brosnahan, and “Abbott Elementary” actors Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams, have already caught everyone’s attention.
Fashion enthusiasts are eagerly observing emerging trends from this year’s award ceremonies, ranging from subtle all-black ensembles to eye-catching rosettes and floral embellishments.
Emmy Awards 2024 Date
Finally, the 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards are taking place on Monday (Jan. 15), a four-month delay from their original schedule due to strikes by Hollywood writers and actors. Anthony Anderson, former star of “blackish,” is hosting the awards at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
While most of this year’s Primetime Emmys were already presented at last weekend’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards, 26 envelopes are still waiting to be opened. These include categories like outstanding comedy series (won the last two years by Ted Lasso), outstanding drama series (won in two of the last three years by Succession), and outstanding reality competition program (won in four of the last five years by RuPaul’s Drag Race).
The show is produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment and is broadcast live from 8-11 p.m. ET (5-8 p.m. PT) on Fox. The eligibility period for this year’s Primetime Emmys was from June 1, 2022, to May 31, 2023.
Tonight’s broadcast will reveal the winners for all the categories listed below, and we’ll be keeping track as they are announced.
